Category

Audience

Teens & Adults

Sponsor: Cuyahoga County Public Library - Parma Snow Branch
Temple Grandin is one of the world’s most accomplished and well-known adults with autism. She has a PhD in animal science, is a professor at Colorado State University, and is the author of 12 books, including the national best-sellers Thinking in Pictures and Animals in Translation.
In her new book, Calling All Minds, Grandin delves into the science behind inventions and the ways in which young inventors can think about and understand what it means to tinker, to fiddle, and to innovate. Laced with Grandin’s personal stories and facts that will make young minds soar, the book creates a blueprint for different ways to look at the world. More than a call to action, Grandin gives a call to imagination and shows readers that an open and inquisitive mind is always key.
Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Mac's Backs - Books on Coventry.
