Milestones Autism Organization is always looking for volunteers to join our mission of improving the quality of life for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Volunteer projects include conference planning, office work, special events, workshops and trainings. Internship Program for High School Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
High school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders can apply to participate in the Milestones Internship Program. By participating in an internship program, students can develop their hard and soft employment skills, ultimately increasing their chances of being successful in the work force.
The length of internship and work tasks are determined by the needs of the student and agency. Only students with Autism Spectrum Disorders may apply for this position. Please contact Beth Thompson, Teen/Adult Services Coordinator, for more information by calling (216) 464-7600 ext. 108.
Internship Program for College and Graduate Students
College and graduate students who are interested in interning with Milestones Autism Organization should contact Mia Buchwald Gelles, Operations Director, by calling (216) 464-7600 ext. 101 or emailing miabgelles@milestones.org.
Duration and work assignments are based on the needs of the student and agency. Students majoring in social work, communications, special education, psychology or nonprofit management are encouraged to apply. Milestones can provide supervision for social work students needing field hours for completion of their academic program.
