Conference Highlights

Milestones Conference Assists Parents, Professionals
Source: Cleveland Jewish News

The annual Milestones Autism Spectrum Disorder Conference always leaves Leslie Rotsky with a “wow” feeling.

“As a parent and professional, the conference is a humbling couple of days,” she reflected after the 2013 conference, held June 19 and 20 at the I-X Center in Cleveland. “You’re left saying ‘wow! I still have so much to learn.’ You walk away with practical ideas and new research. I start planning what I’ll focus my child on this year.”

As Milestones’ education project manager, Rotsky manages the speaking presentations at the conference. This year’s conference, attended by 800 professionals, parents, sponsors and volunteers, featured five national speakers, 70 workshops, cutting-edge research, and professional development in multiple disciplines.

- Frank Hickman, Special Needs Attorney with Hickman & Lowder Co., LPA

"I was amazed at the resources and the topics presented at this event which touched on some of the leading research for ASD. Milestones theme, atmosphere and staff cultivated a very collaborative and cohesive support as schools and individuals from within and outside the state of Ohio attend this event."
